Q: Who are Brainwave-Sync?

A: We are suppliers of brainwave entrainment and binaural beats audio CDs and MP3s.

Q: What is brainwave entrainment?

A: Brainwave entrainment or brainwave synchronization as it is sometimes called, is a form of audio which alters the frequency of the brain in order to aid relaxation, induce sleep, assist with deep meditation and even create vivid dreams.

Q: Is it safe?

A: Yes, brainwave entrainment is very safe. However if you are pregnant, suffer from epilepsy or have any other condition, you should consult your doctor before using any audio from this site.

Q: How does brainwave entrainment work?

A: Brainwave entrainment, also known as "brainwave synchronization", is concerned with frequency following response, a naturally occurring phenomenon where the human brain has a tendency to change its dominant EEG frequency towards the frequency of the dominant external stimuli applied to it.

Lower level brain frequency, associated with deep sleep and meditation are not audible to humans, so an acoustic tone is generated using a technique called binaural beats. Another method is to produce tones that pulse at the desired frequencies.

Our audio uses a number of different technologies, including the following:

Q: Why are there different types of audio categories?

A: The human brain functions at different frequencies during different mental states. Each category of audio on this site corresponds to the certain frequency that it induces. The following gives a brief guide:

THETA: The frequency of dreaming. Can be used for meditation, to induce dreams, or even visions
ALPHA: The relaxed mind enters the Alpha frequency. Can be used for relaxation, meditation, calming of nerves etc.
DELTA: The frequency of deep sleep. Delta is used to induce sleep.

Q: Can I listen to a sample of the audio I want to buy?

A: Yes, all our audio MP3s and CDs have a sample you can try before purchase. The samples are available under the "Media Collection" heading alongside each MP3 product. CD products have a 'play' button located near the title.

Q: How will I receive my product?

A: All our MP3 audio products are available via download. Once you have completed the checkout process, you will immediately be given a link and download instruction.

CDs will be shipped internationally via regular postage methods.

Q: What format are your downloadable audio files in?

A: All audio files are in MP3 file format.

Q: How many times can I download my MP3 purchase?

A: You can download your purchase 5 times, and your download link will be active for 1 week.

Q: Can I re-activate my download?

A: Download links can be re-activated by sending a request to shop@brainwave-sync.com - please make sure to include your order reference number in all e-mails.

Q: Can I keep re-activating my download links?

A: Brainwave-Sync operate a fair usage policy. We will re-activate your download links when you make a request and will honor a reasonable amount of requests.

Q: I have lost my MP3 audio purchase, what can I do?

A: Contact us at shop@brainwave-sync.com and request a download re-activation and include your order reference number. Please be aware though, as with any other product purchase, it is your responsibility to take care of your goods.

Q: Where is my download link?

A: All your product download links are available in your Account Page. Please login to see a list of your purchases.

Q: My download doesn't begin / My download opens in my media player?

A: If you are having trouble downloading your file, please read these additional download instructions.

Payment and Shipment

Q: What methods of payment do you accept?

A: We accept payment via credit or debit card. We also accept payment from PayPal. All payments via credit card are handled through PayPal's secure payment service.

Q: How are my items shipped?

A: CDs are shipped via USPS or UPS.

Q: Do you sell any physical items?

A: Yes, we sell downloadable MP3 files as well as CDs.
